As with any of our art installations, our application of large format artwork begins with an analysis of the environment and objectives. We then consult with our artists and create for you a shortlist of ideas and concepts. Existing works can be adapted for large format floor and wall murals, or you may want to consider a specially commissioned piece.
Large format artwork may be considered for implementation in proposed, or existing structures.
Existing locations can be enhanced with a wall or floor mural as a special feature, or as part of a coordinated redecoration.
For new developments, the decision to enhance the project with artwork can be made at any stage of the process, including after completion. However, we recommend our clients consult with us at an early drafting phase. This allows a more flexible and iterative exchange between architects and artists. To some degree, it allows architects to engineer the formal qualities of the structure in consideration of the visual impact of the artwork. In this way, the use of large format artwork may allow for a simplified and more economical structure, without sacrificing visual appeal.
