In business since 1981, the frame company we represent,  is a leader in manufacturing high-end, custom frames for artwork and mirrors.  The production of each frame—from the milling of the moulding to fitting of the art/mirror in the finished frame—is managed, supervised and controlled on premises.

The firm’s 20,000 square foot facility is home to more than 40 artisans who master the art of woodwork, hand-carving, classic  designs, gilding, finishing, matting and fitting.  Since the raw moulding is manufactured on site, our firm can create custom shapes to match the most detailed specifications provided by its clients.  Finishes may include Genuine 12, 18 or 22-Karat Gold Leaf, Composition Metal Leaf, Stain, Paint, Natural or any combination called for by the project.

With well over 1,300 samples in the showroom, Capitol’s diverse collection includes Contemporary frames as well as Grand French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Oriental and Pleine Aire.  And with an emphasis on high-end, closed-corner designs, Capitol’s specialists produce quality frames no other company can match.

Since 1979 our frame company has serviced Art Consultants, Interior Designers, Art Dealers, Decorators, Artists, Galleries, and Frame Shops.  Our picture and mirror frames are displayed throughout the hospitality industry, enhancing lobbies, rooms, suites and hallways of numerous prestigious hotels worldwide.

One aspect of the frame that helps distinguish between closed-corner frames and those that are made from pre-finished moulding is… the corner. While frames that are made from pre-finished moulding always have corners with design and fitting imperfections, closed-corner frames, as hinted by their name, are characterized by seamless corners that have perfect design and fitting patterns.
